Father God, it is an honour to be called Your daughter.  Jesus Christ, it is a blessing to have You as my personal Saviour.  Holy Spirit, You are the joy and peace in my heart.  Glory to God! Amen!

Often I look at my life and I just once again realise how privileged I am to be married to my husband, to have 2 lovely children and have a blessed, healthy and happy life.  The other side of life is that like any human, I have sinned or let people down in my 41 years of life.  Now thinking back about it, I could have climbed into a hole and feel sorry for myself every time I hurt people but I opted not to, because my Jesus taught me that with Him there is forgiveness and hope (1 John 1:9).

In Luke 15:11 – 32, we read the parable of the lost son, who asked his father for his inheritance and after spending all the money, he returned home in hope of at least working for his father as a servant.  On his arrival, his father however did not turn him away, questioned why he lost all the money or expected him to work as a servant.  No, instead he clothed his son with the best robe, put a ring on his finger, sandals on his feet and requested that the fattened calf be killed for a feast in celebration of his son`s return.

Just like that father, our Father God also does not judge or ask questions on why we have sinned.  He wants so much to spend time with us that He waits in anticipation for all those who are lost and live in sin, to simply turn away from their wicked ways and step into His arms.  When you think about Jesus, hanging on the cross, He still took what was left of His own energy to minister to the sinner next to him.  He forgave that sinner and said that he would be with Him in the paradise.  What an unselfish, glorious and passionate God we serve.  Glory to God in the Highest!

Where are you right now in your life dear reader?  Are you at a place where you have sinned to the degree that you think you are not good enough or worthy to receive God’s love and forgiveness?  Perhaps you have not sinned, but got so angry at God because of things that have gone wrong in your life and you feel He is to blame.  I would like to share with you that God only has plans to prosper you and not to harm you (Jer 29:11).  Yes, bad things do happen to good people also and yes, Christians also have many challenges.  It is clear when you read the Bible that as long as there is a satan, and until such time that Jesus comes back for us, satan will challenge us with all kinds of temptations, which sometimes lead to sin.  What we must also remember is that even in times when it seems like God is absent and not helping us, those might be the exact times when our faith in Him should grow even stronger and carry us through.  However, that is not what we always do.

In difficult times, instead of calling to God for help, we accuse Him and move away from Him.  What we must realise is that many times, the wrong choices in life, by humans, have hurt humans and then God had nothing to do with it.  You see, out of love God gave us a very special gift, which is a free will of choice.  So many times when people are hurt, it is because people hurt people and not because God hurt people.  So you see, God is right here with us and He loves us.  Sometimes you just have to wait and allow Him to move in your life situations, even when things do not make sense.  I must also mention that often people think that because bad things happen or have happened in their lives, they can’t work for God because if people look at them, they will not believe that they are really Christians.  Well I tell you right now that it is nonsense.  We all sin and we all have to ask forgiveness.  What is important though is that we do stay focussed and also strive towards not doing the same wrong things over and over again.  Instead, learn from them and then testify about it so that others can learn from our mistakes.

I don’t know who you are or what you feel right now.  I just know that God is waiting with open arms to hold you, put a robe around you, put a ring on your finger and a crown on your head.  He is not interested in what you have done wrong, how you have questioned Him or how many times you have let him down.  All he wants is for you to realise that you are worthy, worthy of His love and forgiveness.

Dear reader, turn away from sin and turn around.  Can you see Him?  He is standing there with open arms looking right at you, saying…..you are worthy!

With lots of love in Jesus Name

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
