Glory to my God and King. Glory to Jesus my Saviour and best friend. Glory to You, Holy Spirit who are my every breath. Amen!
What a year 2012 has been. In my own life I have have gone through so many heart sore and challenges. However, it has also been a year full of blessing and victories. Hallelujah. Amen! In this last article from me for 2012 I would like to reflect back on my year. The word I received from God for 2012 was that it would be a year of new beginnings and that it would in some instances be accompanied with pain. The example I want to use is a baby cutting teeth. The baby normally experience discomfort, pain and fever. However, once the tooth makes its appearance, it is all over and just smiles. Another example is sitting to study for hours but to enjoy the good results at the end. It is the same with life. We sometimes have to go through tough times in order to enjoy a new beginning and that is what my year was full of during 2012.
I would not like to mention all the challenges in this article, but would like to give God the glory for all the things that worked out in my life in 2012. Although I lost my mother after a stroke, I have the peace which transcends all understanding as I know that never again will she experience pain. Praise Jesus. In her last moments God talked so directly to me and told me to crown her. In obedience I did just that. After driving for more than 7 hours, I crowned my mother as a woman of worth, who lived her life to the full and gave us her all. She deserved that crown of beauty. At her funeral we declared that that crown was now replaced with her eternal crown by Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
I praise God for saving my son, who after 5 weeks of being challenged with Meningitis, survived and received a second chance in life. Glory to Jesus for a boy of 15, who serves Christ as his personal Saviour.
My daughter got engaged and will marry the man of her dreams on 13 April 2013. Thank you Jesus for lending this woman of worth to me to bring up for you. What an honour and privilege to have her as my daughter and for giving her fiancé as a son to me and my husband.
I also want to thank my husband for standing by my side in everything I went through in 2012. He is my best friend on earth and I love him with all my heart. I also enjoy working with him for Jesus to my Rescue. Our calling and aim in life is the same and for that I honour God.
To the Jesus to My Rescue team, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to be part of God’s dream for Jesus to My Rescue. I reflect back on my participation in this project for 2012 and realised the desire of my heart is to continue working for Jesus full time. The highlights of the year for me was the outreach in Atlantis, the Walking with Jesus project from Atlantis to Melkbosstrand, the outreach in Melkbosstrand, monthly outreaches to Montamed retirement village (sub-acute unit), monthly Focus on Christ articles and last but not least, the Jesus to My Rescue Pamper a Lady project in November. Glory to Jesus! Amen!
Just like me, I encourage you to write down your gratefulness for 2012 and to share it with others around you.
Please keep praying for me and I also want to pray for all of you to have a wonderful holiday period and blessed Christmas. May 2013 grow us to even greater strengths in our walk with Christ. Amen!
I give you Psalm 119:105 saying “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” May you always find the comfort and answers you need in life, as you search God’s heart through His precious Word.
With lots of love in Jesus Name

PS: Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version. If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly. A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible. This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
