Dear friends in Christ,

I want to begin this article by thanking our God for the blessing of sharing my thoughts with you again today. I want to thank Him for His deep understanding of every single emotion that we can ever feel.

Your feelings are important to God, because your heart is important to God. He holds your Heart in His Hands. He feels what you feel, He understands what you want to say when your words fail and He counts the tears you cry. Even when you have no more tears left to cry, He still counts the tears that flow on the inside of your heart.

Dear friends, have you been there, in that dark place where your heart is broken in pieces, where you find it hard to just breathe and where you sometimes feel nothing at all and you wonder if you are even still alive? All of us have and I know that some of us are there now. If this is where you are now, I need you to know that God is right there with you. Even if you don’t feel it at all. YOUR GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN you. YOUR GOD IS NOT ANGRY with you, YOUR GOD IS NOT DISAPPOINTED in you. YOUR GOD HAS NOT TURNED HIS BACK on you. No matter how hurt you feel, no matter how dead you feel inside, you have a God who is sitting right there next to you, holding His Hand out to you and asking you to simply take hold of it.

I want to share with you something I experienced a couple of nights ago. I was down on my knees before God. My heart was hurting and I was crying, and praying with my head right down on the floor. At some stage I opened my eyes and looked to my left. As I only had my bedside light on, the room was dark and the shadows falling on the floor were stretched out. On the floor, right next to me I saw a shadow- the outline of Jesus. Just His shoulders and head. It looked exactly like the shadow of a picture of Jesus, like one that you would find in many of the Children’s Bibles. I looked around and saw that it was only the shadow of a bag of mine, hanging on the bedpost. But in that moment I just felt God telling me that He was there, RIGHT next to me. Immediately Isaiah 41:10 was in my head. “Fear not, for I am with You. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand.”

Without even thinking about it, I stretched out my left hand to my side, closed my eyes and asked God to do just that. To take my hand in His righteous right Hand. He did, I felt Him taking my hand and without even doing anything, I felt my hand move upwards, as if someone was taking my hand from above and pulling it upwards. Next thing I knew I was standing up op my toes, with my hand feeling like it is still being held and lifted higher. God lifted me right out of that dark place and I went to bed with peace in my heart .Does it sound too good to be true? It IS TRUE. God rewards our faith and offers His very presence to us if we only want to believe and take His promises for ourselves.

My friends, our God is alive and He is with us. Please accept this truth now! Also know, that, while you may feel worthless at times and like you cannot approach God because you are too insignificant or He is too high above or too great to be bothered, He is waiting right there next to you. Waiting for you to do exactly that. Reach out and take the Hand of Your Heavenly Father. By the blood of Jesus Christ you have the right to take Your God’s right Hand so that He can uphold you and pull you out of your dark place.

James 4:8    “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

Psalm 23:4  “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me…”

Psalm 46:1-2 “ God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble….”

Psalm 56:8 “You number my wanderings ; Put my tears into your bottle…”

Psalm 37:24 “Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds Him with His Hand.”

If you are willing to take God’s Hand , trust Him when you are weak and broken, crying and hurting, He will not let go of you. God will never ever let go and even when you let go of Him, He remains right their beside you, with His Hand stretched out to you, waiting for you to draw near to Him again.

Dear Lord, I want to thank You Father, for never letting go of us. Thank you for teaching us in Your Word that we have the right to take Your Hand and hold on to You, for You love us more than life itself. Father, I pray Your healing Hand to be upon everyone reading this prayer and making it their own. Come and heal broken hearts, come breathe your life into those who are challenged by a spirit of fear, depression, anxiety, sadness and any other negative thing that may try to steal their joy and peace in You. God, we proclaim Your victory over every aspect of our lives and we thank You now that it has all been done already. Lord Jesus, You are everything, and You are all I need.

Amen.

Be fearless in Christ.

Lizz
