Glory to my Father God who has chosen me to be His princess.  Praises to Jesus for saving me and giving me eternal life.  Welcome Holy Spirit in my heart.  You are my every breath!  Amen!

What a blessing for me to write to you today about blessing.  When you start reading in the book of Genesis 1 verses 27 – 30, you realise that blessing from God was declared over our lives from the minute we were created in His image.  Praise God!  Throughout the Bible we read about blessings and curses and how God’s blessing is what He planned for us to receive and live in abundance in every area of our lives.

In Deuteronomy 30 verses 11 – 20 the Word of God is very clear about blessing and cursing, the offer of life or death.  God says:

“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.  It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”  Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask.  Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?  No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.  See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.  For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.  But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed.  You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.  This day I call heaven and earth as witness against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.  Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him.  For the Lord is your life and he will give you many years in the land He swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

It is very clear that our God has only planned blessings for us and that it is His will for us to be blessed and live in abundance, not subject to the world.  Amen!  His blessing is also intended to be permanent.  In the book of Genesis 27 verses 1 – 40, we read about how Isaac blessed Jacob, thinking he was Esau.  He spoke with authority when he carried over the blessing, knowing the power that lies in the blessing.  When Isaac realised that he was betrayed after Esau came to him for his promised blessing as firstborn, Isaac could not revoke the blessing he spoke over Jacob’s life.  That is how much power is in blessing of God!  Praise God!  Amen!

Dear reader, this truth is so powerful.  God’s blessing is eternal.  That is why he is making it clear in Deuteronomy 30 that He places before us blessings and curses, life and death.  The question is what do we choose?  If we want blessing and life eternal, it is ours if we choose it.  However if we choose to keep ourselves busy with the wrong things in life, we contribute to destruction and death in our lives.  It is very clear that it is not God who turns back on His word to bless us but that it is us moving away or blocking out the blessings with our wrong choices.  God never changes and His word is true (Hebrews 13:8 and Isaiah 55:11), and therefore we are what we choose.

Thank you Jesus Christ that we are not subject to the world and the economy.  We are subject to You, Your fullness, Your mercy, Your grace and Your unending blessings.  Amen!

I choose to love the Lord my God, listen to His voice and hold fast to Him.  I declare that the Lord is my life, and with this I now receive God’s blessing in abundance in Jesus name.  I declare that with this choice me and my household have received life in Jesus name, and that the blessings we received are forever.  Amen!

What do you choose?

With lots of love in Jesus Name

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your Bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but happens in some instances.
