Abundance

Glory and honour and praise to God my Father, Jesus my King and the Holy Spirit living inside of me!  Amen!

As I journeyed this week with my Father in the Word, getting to know His heart and spending time with Him in prayer I meditated on the book of Deut 28:1 – 14.  Oh what a blessing and awakening in my soul to again confirm the Word and therefore the truth of God in my heart.  I would like to share with you this powerful Word and promise that God has declared over all His children and therefore today’s article is directly from the Word!  Praise God!  Amen! In this scripture Moses spoke to God’s people saying to them….“obey the Lord your God and follow His commands and decrees that I give you today.”

“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.  All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.”

“You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.”

“The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock – the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.”

“Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.”

“You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.”

“The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you.  They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.”

“The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to.”

“The Lord your God will bless you in the land He is giving you.”

“The Lord will establish you as His holy people, as He promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.  Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.”

“The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity – in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground – in the land He swore to your forefathers to give you”

“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.”

“You will lend too many nations but will borrow from none.”

“The Lord will make you the head, not the tail.”

“If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.  Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.”

Dear reader.  What a powerful scripture.  Do we realise the power and blessing that God had declared over us.  We live in abundance and never will we need anything.  Whatever happens in our lives, we will always have the answers.  Whatever challenges arise in our marriage, work environment, finances or relationships, it has been taken care of.  Does this mean that the challenges are not real?  No, they are very much real because there is a devil prowling around like a roaring lion, wanting to devour us all.

What I am saying is that for all challenges there has already been the ultimate victory on the cross through the blood of Jesus and Him overcoming death, hence satan.  Coupled to that is God’s promise already in Deut 28:1-14 where he clearly says that if we obey His commands and not turn away from it, we will also have a constant flow of blessing and abundance.  Oh praise God for this truth.  Do you see and hear what I see and hear?  No matter what the challenge, through the blood of Christ and the promise of Deut 28:1 – 14 we will always be ahead, always at the top, always in control (through the Holy Spirit), always in plenty and always blessed in everything we do.  Amen!  Praise God!

Now critical to remember is that you need to follow the Word of God and keep to His commands as He indicated in the underlined scripture.  You see that most of the times we ourselves become our own obstacle for the blessing to manifest in our lives as indicated in Deut 28:1-14.  Have the blessings been bestowed upon us?  Yes!  Have we been redeemed by the blood of Christ?  Yes.  Do we have authority in the name of Jesus?  Yes!  All the above has been given us and God is so true to His Word, it is ours as a gift from Him.  However, if we don’t live close to Him, have a relationship with Him, obey His Word, believe that Word and live it to the best we can, it is almost like it is lying dormant, waiting to come out and do for us what it is supposed to do.  We need to let it become alive in our lives!  Oh what a revelation it has been to me when this scripture was again brought to my attention.

Praise God for His powerful Word and blessings that is ours if we receive it open-handedly and with faith we implement it as He requires of us to do.  What about you?  Do you know that this promise is also your promise?  Have you received Jesus into your life?  With Him comes this awesome blessing and truth.  If you have never asked Jesus to be Lord of your life you can pray to Him right now.  Go into prayer and declare that you are lost without Him.  Invite Him into your heart to come and change you from the inside out.  Acknowledge Him as the Lord of your life and choose from this day on to live only for Him.  Also get involved in a prayer group and make sure that you are digging into the Word of God.  To get to know Him, get to know the Word (the Bible) and pray continuously.

Do you already have Jesus in your heart but are stuck in the middle of challenges battling alone trying to get through them?  Well, go back to the Word and look at Deut 28:1-14 and determine what it is that is not right.  Fix it by obeying the Word.  If you are living according to that Word, then persist in claiming that scripture aloud in your life.  Type it out, place it on the refrigerator, on the mirror and at your office.  Stand against the devil and his schemes in the name of Jesus and proclaim the truth of the blessing of God over your life.  Amen.  Don’t give in, and don’t stop.  Persevere and daily declare that blessing over you and your loved ones.  Satan knows that the blessing is ours so be alert, he would want to tempt you to move away from the Word so that you become your own block in the blessing not manifesting as it should in your life.  Remember, he can’t remove the blessing because it was a promise spoken by God!

Oh the Lord’s grace, love, power and blessing in abundance are ours and let us receive it right now in obedience to His Word.  Praise God.  “I receive Lord……I receive!”  Amen!
