YOUR KINGDOM ON EARTH – Part 1
This year I celebrated my 28th wedding anniversary and not a day goes by when I don’t thank God for my husband. God has blessed us with two children, now 27 and 21 years of age. I have a good job and work with people, whom I dearly love. I am the second youngest in a family of six children, and was raised by parents, who taught us to love God and respect people. On my journey in life, I have met lovely people, who are now called, my friends. Being part of a church, I have met even more people, whom are now also part of my Spiritual family in Christ.
I have the blessing of driving a car, so as I drive around town, I see so many places, things and people. We have a house and therefore share a neighbourhood with many others in our local community. Being part of Jesus To My Rescue Ministries, I meet so many people from across the world. Reading the above, I am truly blessed in Christ. However, the idea of sharing was not to boast, but I wanted to show you that God has entrusted to me, my life and everyone in it. Let us read together Psalm 139:1 – 16
“You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and You lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Amen!
I realise that I am selected by God, just like you, to live life according to His Master Plan. I have been chosen by God and once I accepted Jesus Christ as my Personal Saviour, I started living every day for God and His Kingdom. My heart opened my eyes to see my true identity in Christ, being a daughter and therefore, a princess of Father God. With that, I realised that being royalty, God has also given me a role to fulfil, a kingdom here on earth, to reign for Him.
Every person that has been in my life, is in my life now and who will still come into my life, will be there for a reason. After reading Psalm 139, I realised that my kingdom was planned long before I was even born. Is it not mind blowing? I came to realise what it really means. I don’t only have one kingdom, I have many and God entrusted each one of them to me. I must reign in each of them, with His Word as my law, Jesus’ authority in me and with the Holy Spirit’s wisdom.
The kingdoms God have entrusted to me, is with one goal in mind, to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything God has commanded us to do (Matthew 28:19). The best part of it all, I am not alone (Matthew 28:20). God in His Trinity is with me, every step of the way, as my Mentor, Councillor, Advocate, Redeemer, Healer, Provider and Victor. How awesome to know that I will never be left alone to reign as I reign in Him and He in me, lacking nothing and that I will not be overcome by anyone or anything. Amen! Hallelujah!
The kingdoms that God has given to me are my family, friends, workplace, follow-believers, neighbourhood, community, men and women on the street and therefore, people all over the world. I choose today, to reign with confidence in Christ, with dignity, integrity, love and most importantly, with the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit in me. Easy it will never be, but I can do it, because God chose me and if He sees me fit, then I am! Amen!
