WILL YOU LIVE FOREVER?

Father God, I honour You as my God and King.  Jesus Christ I love you with all my heart and Holy Spirit, I am nothing without You.  Thank You Jesus for saving me.  I belong to You!  Amen!

There are so many things happening in our lives today and it is clear that between having to work long hours and having the constant pressure to perform in a fast changing world has left many of us to the point that we are not living life to the full anymore.  We live for the big house, the type of car we drive and the money in our bank accounts. We know we should spend more time on the things that matter, like family, yet we don’t; and we must be careful that we don’t one day open our eyes only to see that those special things might have been taken from us purely because of our choices.

When was the last time you stopped and appreciated life?  Have you noticed the smell of the flowers around you?  Did you notice the perfect forming of the clouds in the air today?  When last did you look at the detail of your hands and how unique they are?  As you read this message, do you realise that you are breathing and that there is life inside of you?  We have so much around us to be grateful for and yet we don’t look after it.

Does this all mean we are not busy?  No!  Does it mean that we don’t have a lot of responsibilities?  No!  It means that although the pressures of life aim to pull us down, we have to be smart in the choices we make.  Remember, satan has one aim and that is to destroy you.  So he will put lots of pressure into our lives.  However, he does not choose for us.  We choose for ourselves.  So even if we are pressured, we still have a choice.

The last couple of months, it has been very busy in my life with lots of responsibilities all at once.  I realised very quickly that I would have to plan my day and choices very carefully.  I realised that life will throw curveballs, but it would not bring me down and even if my foot did slip, I would not remain lying down.  I would get up and face life again.  Why?  Because I made a choice that I will live forever and nothing and no one will bring me down.  Jesus Christ saved me and because of that I can face tomorrow.  What I realised is that there is a difference between I can and I will.

Dear reader, many of us say we can do all things, we can face anything and we can defeat satan, because of the truth in Phil 4:13 that say: “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” However, when the going gets tough we don’t always move from we can to we will and then actually do it.  To say I can do something is not enough.  You actually have to do it, put it into action to see the Word of God bringing about change into your life.  If we get this right, our lives will definitely change for the positive.  Will there still be challenges?  Of course there will be but the difference is you will come to realise through faith that nothing will bring you down.  Nothing will be too much for you.  You will not end up with a feeling that you don’t want to be alive anymore.  No, you will know that you know that you will live forever, because God says so.

Reading about the challenges Lazarus and his family faced in John 11:1 – 44, we see how not even death could bring down Lazarus.  Jesus knew that Lazarus was asleep and that he would awake to His command.  Jesus knew the power of choosing life through faith.  Even though Lazarus was dead in the eyes of the people around him, death could not hold him down because Jesus had the final say.  He commanded Him to come out of the tomb and Lazarus did.  Now, let us think about it and then receive this truth today.  The Lord says to us in John 11:25 – 26: “I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.  Do you believe this?”  The revelation here is that no matter what live throws at us, nothing but nothing can and will steal life from you, unless you allow it.

Dear reader.  I once again realised that it is all about Jesus and His life and power inside of us.  We are so empowered by the Spirit of God to do so much more, to live life in abundance and to face anything that come your way.  Read this Word again and receive it in faith into your heart and life.  Then, claim it daily and live it out in every situation in your life today and for every day to come.  Pray continually and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom (James 1:5) in making decisions.  Never ever again just say I can, also say I will and then do it.

Are you at a point in your life not being sure of your salvation and whether you will live forever?  Then dear reader it is time to close your eyes and pray and ask Jesus Christ to come live in your heart.  Just pray this prayer and then receive the Lord into your heart:

“Jesus Christ, I am coming to you today just as I am.  I have nothing more to offer than just my life so here I am.  Please come and live inside of me.  Come and change my life forever Lord.  I ask you to forgive my sins and help me to choose right in life.  Thank you in Jesus name!  Amen!”  Now it is important that you change the way you think and to choose the right things in life.  Read your Bible, for all the answers of life is in there.  Join a church and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you daily.  He has been waiting to have a personal relationship with you.

Praise God that us who have chosen Him, will live forever!  Amen!

Lots of love

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your Bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but happens in some instances.
