UNDERSTAND AND CHOOSE THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR IDENTITY
We often underestimate the authority and power that God has given us. Why is that? When we look back to the creation of mankind, we have been created with authority and power. Let us read Genesis 1:27 – 28: “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
When we look closely at the passage above, we must know that we were not created to be invisible, to just fit in or to be mediocre. We were created to stand out. Here follows THE TRUTH about who we are:
- You are Royalty. You are created by God, in His image. If you are His, and He is King, then that makes you a royal prince or princess.
- You are blessed. If God said that He blessed you then you are blessed, which means that in Him, you will lack absolutely nothing. This means your time, energy levels, family, finances, health, marriage, career, job, friendships etc. are all blessed.
- You lack nothing. Because you are created in God’s image and God is perfect in every way, you are skilled and able, hence you are good enough to be used by God for anything He assigns to you.
- You have authority. Royalty have authority and you are royalty. You received authority from God, your Father. He gave you the authority to rule.
Dear reader, when you look at the above truth, there is no doubt of who you are. If you doubt your identity and authority, you should go back to the beginning, the TRUTH. If you doubt, then somewhere between the beginning and now, you might have been deceived by satan, made wrong choices or might have been a victim of crime and abuse, which gave you a distorted view of THE TRUTH. Yes, these things are real, they happen, they hurt, and they make us doubt. However, it can only steal your true identity if you allow it, or if you have never known it at all.
To know the truth, you must know God and to know God, you must go to His Word, the Bible. You also need to have a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. You need to spend time with Jesus, and daily seek His guidance and wisdom. If you don’t know God and have not accepted Jesus as your Saviour, then you can follow this link for assistance: https://test.jesustomyrescue.com/accept-jesus/.
If you know God, then you need to ask if you are in a personal relationship with Jesus and if not, that is what you need to start. To be in a personal relationship means to get to know each other’s hearts. You will know God’s heart through His Word, the Bible. The more you spend time in reading and studying the Word of God, speaking to the Lord from your heart, sharing everything with Him, listening to His voice, following His guidance and instructions, THEN, you will also start to live your true identity.
Many people in Christ, still don’t realise or live their true identity in Christ. You still hear people saying that they can’t do something, like can’t pray, can’t sing, can’t speak to people etc. The truth is, in Christ, you can do everything (Philippians 4:13). It is not about you can’t, it is about a choice, preference and understanding where God wants to do with and through you, at an appointed time.
The point of this article is to confirm THE TRUTH in your life. You see, if you know, accept and live your true identity, then you are unstoppable and not even the sky is the limit. There are no limits to what you can do or be in Christ. Amen! So, THE TRUTH is THE TRUTH and it will never change, for it is ordained and spoken by God and God’s Word is real, active and not a lie.
Dear reader, in this cruel world, full of deceit and lies, it is imperative that you know THE TRUTH about your identity. You must believe it, receive it, and live it and then see how your life prospers in this ever-changing world. Remember, you are royalty, lack nothing, blessed, and you have the authority to rule. Amen!
Love in Christ, Princess K
