Holy Father in Heaven, I glorify Your name! Jesus Christ, You are not just my Saviour but also my best friend. I love You with all my heart. Holy Spirit, continuously fill me up with Your presence, every single day for the rest of my life. Without You, I am nothing! Amen!
For the past month, I have been visiting a couple of different families, only to discover how broken the world really is. People are tired and feel despondent because the one thing after the other goes wrong in their lives and they are desperate for the challenges to stop. Some have challenges with believing in themselves, whilst others are challenged financially and others have health challenges. I think the one thing that has struck me the most is that so many people are alone and they don’t have someone special to talk to, to share their challenges with, to pray with or simply just be held and loved. Many of these people don’t want to be a burden to others, and therefore, they internalise their pain and this makes them hard on the inside. After one of my visits with a person in need, I was driving home and again I realised how thankful I am for having a wonderful husband and two loving children., who help me, listens to me and care for me. It made me think how my life would be if they were not part of it.
Dear reader, are you alone as you read this message? Are you alone, even though you have people around you? I want to tell you tonight that you are not alone. If you have committed your life to Jesus, He is alive in you and you are clothed with the presence of the Holy Spirit. Amen! The Lord Himself said in Joshua 1:5 “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” Amen! I also want to tell you that once Jesus has entered your heart and you have begun your personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, you are also one in spirit with other Christians, all over this world. You see, it does not matter who you are, how old you are, how you look, how long you have been in a relationship with Christ or where in the world you are living. Once you are one in the spirit, there will be other Christians praying for you, without you even knowing it. Let me explain myself. I might be here in Pretoria, South Africa and you might be in China or England. Perhaps you are just close by in Cape Town, South Africa.
I might experience, like many times before, to pray for a woman sitting in her bed, facing a challenge with some sort of cancer. I then simply start to speak to the person or pray for the person, without knowing who she is by name or where she is from. All I know is that when I pray, I pray in the Holy Spirit and there is a direct line to the person on the other side. It is mind blowing, but yes it is true. I want to give you another example. My father was at home a couple of months back and my mother in hospital, about 20km from him. She received bad news and once received and shocked, she called out his name. My dad then at the same time, without knowing was she has done, heard her calling his name and thought he must be hearing voices. He even walked to my brother and asked him if he was calling him. Only once he got to the hospital later the afternoon, did he hear it from my mother that she was calling out to him. God is good, oh and so alive! Amen!
I guess what I am trying to tell you dear reader is that although you might feel alone or that no one around you listens and cares, I am telling you that people are out there praying for you in the Spirit. I also want to encourage you that when you are alone and when you are being showered with challenges, be thankful in those challenges. Start praising God for who He is. By focussing on Him instead of the challenge, you will be able to see that there is more to be thankful for than the challenges you face. Furthermore, always remember that when you are facing a challenge, you should know that satan wants to bring you down hard. Simply start proclaiming thankfulness for your life and things in your life, and that will take the focus of the challenge. Trust me, satan hates that. He hates thankfulness, peace, love and forgiveness.
I tell you today, whoever you are, where ever you live; Jesus Christ died for you and He wants to live inside of you permanently. He adores you and is simply crazy about you! He is inside of you, loving you! I also want to say that you might not know me, but know this; I love you dear reader! I really love you!
I have a thankful heart, what about you?
With lots of love in Jesus Name
Princess K
PS: Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version. If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly. A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible. This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
