Here we are at the beginning of a new and wonderful year. I have missed communicating with you and again realised that Jesus to my Rescue is such a part of who I am. Always remember that 2010 with its challenges and successes have passed and therefore keep your focus on what lies ahead in 2011. Right in the beginning of the year I want to stress the point that our focus must be on God and only God. Remember throughout this year, who God is. Remember who you are in Him, and what your birthright in Him is. Let us do as it says in Mat 6:33, “but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.”
In my first letter to you this year, I want to use this opportunity to start the year with praises to our King, for I live to worship Him and Him alone. Join me in this prayer of worship and remember that as we enter a time of worship, we speak directly to God’s heart.
Father God, as I come into your presence, I am so aware of who You are. You are majestic, powerful, glorious, and in Your presence nothing else matters. I see myself standing before you in a big room. It is spacious and there is no other furniture except Your throne. Yet, the whole room does not feel empty for it is filled with Your presence and glory. I stand at the bottom of a number of stairs, looking up at where You are sitting on Your throne, and Jesus is standing next to You. You are dressed in a white robe hanging down to Your feet. Although I can’t clearly see Your face, a light is shining from where You sit. How beautiful You are.
Standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking up at You, I feel so small in Your presence. As I climb the stairs, a feeling of belonging enters my heart, a joy beyond comprehension. Everything else fades and it is only You, me and Jesus. The Holy Spirit inside of me sings with joy and my heart starts bouncing uncontrollably. Getting to the top of the stairs, I fall to my knees and realise that I can’t stand in Your presence any longer. I am absorbed by your love and as I touch Your feet, I know that this is where I belong. I am intensely aware of the presence of Jesus and I feel how we are connected with one another. It is like speaking to each other, without uttering a word. Suddenly, nothing else about my life matters, for in His presence I am whole and new.
Lord, you are my life, you are my strength and I adore You. I am infatuated by Your love. You have changed me inside out and I don’t know my old self anymore. I am so honoured to be part of Your Kingdom. You have chosen me, even though I am a sinner. You love me unconditionally, although I often let You down. Thank you for taking me in. Thank you for forgiving my sins, and thank you that all the battles of life have already been conquered on the cross. Jesus Christ, to You I owe my life. I bless You, I honour You and I sing praises to Your name.
Holy Spirit of God it blew my mind, the day when I realised that God placed authority in my heart, through You. How is it possible that You live and dwell in me, a human being? Since I started talking to You, my life has changed. I realise daily that the power of God is inside of me and with that the strength to do anything. I realise that it is not about me, but about You in me, and in that the power lies. I am honoured to have You living inside of me. You are my every breath and I know that You promise in Joshua 1:5 that You will never leave me, nor forsake me. Glory unto You in the Highest.
Precious Father, as I sit by Your feet I don’t want it to end. I want to stay here forever. My thoughts were not even cold, when I realised that it will never end. Although I might move away from you through wrong choices in life, You will always remain in the position where You are, ready for me to be held close to You. Sometimes, I wish that I could be with You all the time in heaven, where there will be no hurt or challenges as I face here on earth. I know that You have told me that I belong in heaven with You and that my place with You has been secured. However, for now You need me here on earth, so that others come to know You as I have. I need to bring them into a love celebration with Christ, so that they too may experience the peace I experience at Your feet. Thank you that you trust me with this task. Thank you Holy Spirit that you will help me.
Father, I adore You. Jesus, You are my Saviour and I am so in love with You. Holy Spirit, oh precious Holy Spirit, I give myself to You. Oh Lord, live in me, work in me and work through me. I only live to worship You!
Amen
With lots of love in Jesus Name
Princess K
PS: Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version. If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly. A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible. This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
