Glory to Jesus!  Precious Saviour! Glorious Lord!  Glorious God, Holy Saviour, precious Jesus, I adore You and You are in my heart.  Holy Father, Holy Spirit, you’re my life and my everything! Amen.

How many times in the past month have I not asked the Lord to give me strength, calm me down and bring peace to a situation?  Every time I ask, I immediately get an answer saying that He can’t give me something that He has already given me.  I then sometimes feel like I just want Him to step in for me, to deal with the situation for me.  However, He loves me too much to always interfere.  He tells me over and over, “I have given you my life and with that love, peace, prosperity, calmness, health and life over death.”

Do you also ask the same questions as I do?  Do you often feel that you ask His help only to find that you are not really answered?  Well I have given it some thought and with His guidance and answers to me, I have come to a conclusion on this matter and would like to share it with you.

According to God’s promise in Jer 29:11 – 14, He only has plans to prosper us and to give us hope and a future.  He also says that if we seek Him with all our hearts, He will be found by us.  So why then when we call unto Him for help do we sometimes not see Him in the situation?  From my own experience and from what I have been guided by the Holy Spirit it is very clear that God is always with you (Jos 1:5) and that no one will be able to stand up against you.  So then again the question, why does it sometimes feel like He does not hear us?

Firstly, God is true and so is His Word.  You can call on Him 24 hours a day.  We are allowed to ask His guidance, that is how He has taught us.  We are allowed to ask for a way out and yes we most certainly can ask Him for His power and strength.  After journeying with Christ for many years, I have come to learn the truth about 1 Cor 3:1 – 3.  God is always there and you will never be alone.  He always hears you and always protects you.  However, what we don’t come to realise is that once He gave you His all, he gave you the ability to stand against the enemy.  He also gave you the power to rule, to overcome and to stand firm.  With this He also gave you the free choice to choose how you will address any given situation.  So you see, we have all the blessings and tools already within us to address any challenge that might come our way, no matter how big or small.

The question is then, why do we still call out for peace and calmness, when it is already within us?  It is not about Him not responding, it is about you not drawing from what He has given you, which is already within you.  Reading 1 Cor 3:1 – 3, I realised that after walking with Jesus for so many years, we still expect of Him to hold our hand and to do everything for us.  Trust me, He is holding your hand but the time has come for you to trust Him enough and to believe in yourself that you can deal with situations that arise.  We keep asking for peace and strength, yet we don’t realise it is within us and all we have to do, is choose it.  Hence, say and believe words like, “I choose peace.  I claim the peace of Christ in me right now in the name of Jesus, Amen!”  No, we stumble at out words in front of the enemy and look around for help, actually making him laugh at us.  “NO MORE!” This is what I say.  No more of mumbling and looking for Christ to spoon-feed us.  We must realise who we are and what power is within us.  The answer for all situations is within us, through the Holy Spirit and the strength of God living in us!  Amen.

So there it is.  We are not moving forward because we don’t acknowledge and use what God has given us.  He is with us and He is in us!  Amen!  So never doubt Him, His existence or His power within you.  It is time to take responsibility and live up to what He has called us to be.  We are crowned in His glory, with all the abilities to face any challenge.  The hard facts, we want to be babies and we want to be spoon-fed.  Well, if we want to be treated as grown-up Christians we will have to get out of the pram and walk in Christ, as it is intended by Him for us.  Now remember, getting out of the pram, does not mean that you are alone.  No, instead of pushing you, he will be holding your hand and step by step He will never let go.

I trust that you will, just like me, accept the truth and realise that it all depends on us whether we move forward or not.  I am getting out of the pram what about you?

With lots of love in Jesus Name

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
