Author of Life

Father, I love you and I am so honored to be called a daughter of the Most High.  Jesus Christ, You are my Saviour and I am so in love with You.  All I want, is to be in Your presence 24 hours a day.  Holy Spirit, You are my life, my everything.  Without You, how will I ever face this world?  Amen!

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.  And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” – Gen 1:1 – 3

“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  God blessed them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.  Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”  I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.  They will be yours for food.  And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground – everything that has the breath of life in it – I give every green plant for food.  And it was so.” – Gen 1:27 – 30

“…the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” – Gen 2:7

So many theories exists in the modern day, developed by scientists, on the existence of God and how life began.  These theories if not in line with the Bible, have now resulted in so many people questioning the existence of God and how the world began.  Adults, being confused by different theories, have now influenced children who now started believing that just maybe there is truth in all these theories that God does not exist.  The truth in the Bible is not taught in schools like before and therefore the only truth children get is when parents buy a Bible or go to church and live out Christ in their homes.  I believe this is why the world is in so much pain.  They have been blinded by the truth.

The good news however is that once unbelievers meet our Creator on a personal level, they develop a hunger for the truth and start reading the Bible.  What is amazing, is that once opened and taken in the truth as captured in the Bible, nothing will change their viewpoint on the truth again. That is why, when people in a personal relationship with Christ are approached by unbelievers to give proof for what they believe; they don’t get involved in proving their faith.  We have to proof nothing to this world.  The truth is simply the truth and it speaks for itself.  Once taken in, it changes us forever, because the Author of life said so.  It is a new birth that changes you from the inside out.  Your life speaks it, lives it and that in itself proves it.  Amen!

I realised once again that when we receive Christ in us, the Author of life is inside of us.  He that created the heavens and earth, all the creatures of the earth, all life on earth, He breathes inside of us.  When the world realises this, life will change forever.  Jesus the Author of life heals, protects, restores, provides, comforts, forgives, saves and gives life eternal.  Why then does this world not choose Him?  I think it is because of man that has become so self reliant that they think they no longer need God.  They don’t just want to rule over what God has allocated to them, they want to be a god.  This might shock you, but is this not true?  Men have built little empires of their own and behold the one who enters without permission.

Oh, how the world has been blinded by satan’s lies that have now created man to miss their purpose in life all together.  When things go wrong, God is blamed.  When people are hurt, God is blamed.  When success is achieved, God is forgotten.  However, what man forgets is that God loves us so much that He has given us authority to rule on earth but under His guidance and as allocated to each one of us.  The question is whether we understand our role as indicated in Genesis or has it reached a point that man has forgotten that God is still in control?  He is still the Author of life, not us.  What we are supposed to be doing is to walk with Him and live out His will and purpose and not our own.  If man is then so self reliant and God is blamed for how things happen in life, then why can’t we get it right to sort things out for ourselves?  Think about it, no money can heal you.  No time can take hurt away from you.  Amen!

I believe that once we go back to the basics as written in Genesis, we will realise what our roles are.  God as the Author of life has chosen us to rule in this world, over what He has given to us; but to glorify Him.  When we do that, we receive His abundant prosperity in every area of our lives.  Then, we will have a long and prosperous life.  We will overcome challenges and be at peace even when “storms” rage in our lives.  Why?  Because the author of life and ruler of this earth walks with us and guides us.  However, when we choose wrong and misunderstand our role in life, we end up a mess and then in turn make a mess.

God, please, once again we acknowledge that You are the Author of Life and the Ruler of this earth.  Father in Jesus name please forgive us for misunderstanding our role in life.  Please Lord Jesus, walk with us and guide us in the way we should go.  Amen!
