Father God, You are my King and I glorify Your Holy Name!  Jesus, You are my Redeemer and I am alive because I am alive in You!  Holy Spirit, because of You I can face tomorrow!  Glory to God in the Highest! Amen.

Looking back at 2011, the year has gone so quickly!  I want to dedicate this last article for 2011, to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  You see, without Him, we are nothing, but in and through Him, we can do everything (Phil 4:13).  So dear reader, I invite you to share in this letter to God whereby we give glory to Him with a grateful heart, for a successful 2011.

Dear Father God.

We write this letter to You from our hearts, being grateful for Your hand in our lives during 2011.

Father, thank you for keeping us safe and warm.  Lord we acknowledge that You provided for every petrol price and electricity increase.  We realise that the food on our table every day, was directly from you.  Each challenge that we faced, we survived, because instead of just taking it away, You led us through it knowing that it will strengthen us.  Your mentorship has brought us to a place in our faith that we realised that there is nothing that can overcome us, if we remain in You.  Once again, You sealed Your friendship with us, by keeping Your Word so true.

Every attack on our health, we survived because of You and once again we testify of people being healed from cancer and other serious diseases.  We remember and are grateful for saving the lives of our loved ones as they faced car accidents and armed robberies.  We survived retrenchments and financial challenges and give You the glory for pulling us through it all.

It rained and the earth produced crops, once again proof of how You care and provide for us.

Lord, 2011 has also been a year of discovering our true identify in Christ and that our identify does not lie in the things of the past.  We have been made new in Christ and every day You confirm this for us.  We have a future and by leaving the things of the past in the past, we walk into the future blessings that You have already identified for us.

At the beginning of the year Lord, You gave us Ps 37:4 that say “delight yourself in the Lord and He will give You the desires of your heart.”  So this year has also been a year of delight and growth in our relationship with You, which again resulted in so many blessings beyond our imagination.  Father thank you for not only providing us with what we need but also for every special treat and gift that we never expected.  Lord, as we waited upon you to bless us, You opened the heavens and showered us with so much blessing.

Father there is so much to be grateful for and if we had to write everything down, there would never be enough paper.  So please receive this letter of praise as we thank you with a grateful heart for 2011.

Amen!

On a personal note, this has been a year of spiritual growth for me.  The more I step into the presence of God, the more I want to be with Him.  The Holy Spirit has taken me to deeper levels of relationship with Him and I have grown in the interpretation of His Word.

Dear reader.  Looking back at 2011, may you always remember who you are in Christ and that He will always be there for you, looking out for you, holding you and providing for you in abundance.  May 2012 bring you joy and prosperity, remembering that as children of God we are not subject to the times or the economy but only subject to God and His blessings.  May your greatest desire for 2012 be to grow even closer to God.

With lots of love in Jesus Name

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
