THERE IS A FUTURE – IT IS ALL MAPPED OUT
Nothing of my life just happened. Looking back at my own life, I realise that every detail must have been planned out. The way I look, the people I met, the career I follow, the man I married, the children I have, the here and the now. Many things have happened in my life and each one of them was with a purpose, whether I then understood it or not.
The facts on the table are:
God has chosen me, to be His daughter, His princess, a girl set out to work for Him. (Genesis 1:27)
I accepted God’s invitation and gave my life to Jesus at the age of 12. (Revelation 3:20)
I have made many mistakes and many wrong decisions, but in Christ, I have been forgiven for each of them and there is no condemnation in my life. (1 John 1:9, Romans 8:1)
With every mistake, wrong decision and challenge, God took over and directed me in the way to go, with me learning every step of the way. When I am weak, I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10)
I am not perfect, but I am good enough to die for, which is what Jesus did for me. (Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)
I have a purpose and a future, and no one can take it away from me. (Jeremiah 29:11)
No one will be able to stand against me for all the days of my life. (Joshua 1:5)
I live in abundant prosperity, because I chose Jesus as my Saviour. (Deuteronomy 28:1 – 14)
I have challenges, many of them, but none of them will overtake me (1 Corinthians 10:13).
All the above are facts, because God planned me and created me with every detail of my life mapped out. I have accepted the plan for my life and although I don’t have visibility of what is to come, and although it is hard sometimes, I continue to trust Him. Why? Because, I choose to believe my Father and to trust Him with all my heart. I am sold out for Jesus!
Coming to the end of 2017, I want to highlight the truth of Isaiah 49:1 – 7 which applies to all our lives, confirming to you today, that there is a future for you and it is all mapped out.
It is however a matter of whether you believe and choose it:
Before you were born, the Lord called you.
In the shadow of His hand, He hides you.
He made you into a polished arrow and concealed you in His quiver.
You are His servant, in whom He will display His splendor.
It might feel like you labour to no purpose, that you have spent your strength in vain, for nothing. However, what is due to you is in the Lord’s hand and your reward is with God.
We are all chosen for a specific role. God pulls us from His quiver, according to our selected roles as we fit into Master Plan. For some, their roles are not easy, but He would not have chosen you if He did not think, you could fulfil your role. When we accept our roles, and live it out to the best we can, the promise of our reward awaits us. Nothing on earth can measure up to the reward of eternal life in heaven.
Dear reader, your year might have been bumpy and felt impossible to live, but here you are, you made it! Today my year-end message to you is, to know that God has planned, created and chose you for a reason. Therefore, never doubt your existence. You are special, and you have a future, all mapped out. Although you don’t have visibility of tomorrow, next week, next month or the years to follow, trust God, unconditionally. He has promised a reward and His promises are not empty (Isaiah 55:11).
From me, thank you for your love and support in 2017. I pray the love, blessings and joy of Jesus Christ into and over your lives for 2018 and the years to come. Remember, you are chosen, special and you have a future.
