Father God, I honour and glorify You! Jesus Christ, You are Lord! Holy Spirit, Your presence overshadows everything else in my life. Hallelujah! Amen!
Dear reader, what a privilege for me to write my first article for 2013 to you. I praise God for a wonderful rest over the holiday season and am so grateful that I could have spent Christmas in the presence of my family knowing that we all worship Jesus Christ.
As I do every year, I pray to God to give Word to me regarding the following year and every year that is exactly what He has done. Glory to Jesus! As I was writing the final article for 2012, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and revealed to me that 2013 was going to be a year of growth. As I received the Word, something happened inside of me and I still recall feeling so excited that I could hardly contain myself. As my daughter edited the article for me, she came to the close of the article and indicated to me that she had a feeling that 2013 was going to be a year of growth for her and her husband to be. Now please note that I had not mentioned this Word in the last article, nor did I tell it to anyone. Praise God for confirmation, within a few minutes after he gave the Word to me. Hallelujah! Amen!
Knowing that 2012 was a year of new beginnings and now 2013 is a year of growth, God revealed to me that the growth process will not involve pain. Normally with growth, we go through pain, but He clearly after I again asked Him, indicated that 2012 ended with new beginnings, after a change process. Hence, again as He confirmed it, something happened inside of me and I am so excited about what is going to take place in our lives. I went to research pictures of trees and God gave me a picture of a tree growing sideways, more and more branches and leaves. It creates a shadow beneath and there is a bench to sit on. I believe God is asking us to sit back this year and receive His continuous peace, blessings and abundance. The message was clear that it is in respect of all areas of our lives which included our faith, relationship with Jesus, families, friendships, school, work, health, finances, self-esteem etc.
Dear reader, I wanted to share this Word with you, because I realised that we also play a role in this process. We have to choose to go and sit under that tree. We need to look up into the branches and see it as a metaphor on how we will increase in 2013. Praise God for growth! Amen!
The scripture I would like to share with you is from Isaiah 7 where God clearly speaks to us through the story of King Ahaz that was confronted with an attempt to be overthrown by King Rezin and others. The hearts of King Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind. However, through Isaiah, God spoke to King Ahaz and told him to stand firm in his faith, not to lose heart, to keep calm and not to be afraid. Further on, God says that the plots planned by the enemy will not take place. I would like to tell you that as much as you sit under a tree of shade, there will be wind and the branches will move back and forth, making a deep sound. As long as there is a satan, he will try his best to keep growth from you. He will bring along obstacles to try and scare and distract you. However receive this Word in Isaiah 7. Never will God leave you and the plans of the enemies will not succeed. So no matter how it looks, stay focussed on God’s Word and promise. Amen!
My question to you today is, are you ready, because I am! I am so excited that my heart beats faster and my stomach turns. Never will I be the same again and I choose to grow in 2013 like never before, in all areas of my life.
Open your heart, open your mind and participate in this year of growth and receive God’s blessings and abundance like never before. Amen!
Here I am Jesus….I choose to partake….I choose to receive…..I receive! Amen!
With lots of love in Jesus Name
Princess K
PS: Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version. If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly. A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible. This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
