Heavenly Father, who am I that you show so much mercy? You are Holy my God and I worship You. Jesus Christ, You are my best friend and I adore You! Holy Spirit, You are my everything, my life. I love you with all my heart!
Dear reader, these last two weeks since I last wrote to you have been so different to me. I experienced judgement, impatience and a great deal of tiredness that brought me to a point of becoming negative. I found myself at the point of getting angry with people and ended up judging them aloud and this is not me. I started asking myself why, because I am normally very sensitive to this in the Spirit and did not know myself anymore. The people around me started saying things like, “it is that time of the year and therefore we are all tired.” I gave it some thought and also acknowledged that we are in planning for the next year at work, ending off the programmes we had to run for 2009 and the kids are busy at school with the final exams coming up. So with many negativity around me, I started getting negative. By yesterday morning, after two weeks I simply had enough. I declared victory over my life again and acknowledged that I am the only one, through Christ, who can step out of this circle of negativity. As I am writing to you now, I declare victory, Jesus’ victory over my life, every area of my life!
The interesting thing about all of this is that as children of God, we know these things. We know that satan only has a past and will use it in an attempt to pull us down. We know that even if the world tells us that we are in recession, God is our sole provider and therefore we will never be short on anything (Mat 6:25 -34). We know that God says that we must not put our confidence in man for man will disappoint us. Our confidence should be in Him as it says in Heb 10:35 “so do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded.” We know that we must not choose or do wrong because God will discipline us so that we will stay on track. Remember discipline means that God helps us right, brings us back to Him. This is confirmed in Heb 12:5 – 6 and verse 11. We know that we are not alone, even if it feels like no one listens or cares (Jos 1:9 and Heb 13:5). We know that no matter what the challenge, we can overcome it through Christ (Phil 4:13). Dear reader, so we can go on and on. So why then do we get so negative at times?
As children of the Holy One, we are crowned and Jesus is preparing our place in Heaven. This means that although we are here on earth, our soul longs to be in Heaven with Christ. This means that our desire is to please God in all we do. What we must then realise is that as much as we long to please God, satan is very angry and it is his mission to attempt to bring us down and he will do anything in his power to do just that. If it is not your finances, it is the work pressure. If not the work pressure, it is your marriage. If not your marriage, it is your health. If not your health, it is your friendships. So see dear reader, it is a circle of the same things over and over.
What I am trying to tell you dear reader, is that when you can start to identify your true enemy, you can start praying in advance. Be proactive, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and make you sensitive. Continuously pray for your marriage, your loved ones, your work, your finances and instead of always asking, rather start proclaiming the victory over every area and challenge in your life.
Do we have challenges? Yes! Do we sometimes get desponded? Yes! Do we sometimes feel like everything just gets to much and we start feeling, thinking and acting negative? Yes! However, do we know who our Father is? Yes! Do we believe in Him and His word? Yes! Then dear reader, stay positive through the truth instead of becoming negative over the things that gets thrown in your way. Step on and over it! Think and act positively and see how the things and people around you change.
Always remember that satan does not want you to be positive, because if he can make you negative, the ripple effect on the people around you is negative. What we must remember is that when people start talking and thinking negatively, it in many instances end up in some sort of depression. This in turn can easily result in a feeling of unworthiness and eventually could lead to suicide.
Come on dear reader, let’s face our challenges, think positively and remember that in and with Christ all things are possible. Even if you don’t feel positive, proclaim the Truth over your challenge and life and it will set you free. Persist continuously, every day and moment of your life in claiming victory, the victory of Jesus.
With lots of love in Jesus Name
Princess K
