Father God, blessed be Your Name!  Precious Jesus, You are my Saviour!  Holy Spirit I worship You with all my heart.  I write this article as guided by You.  Amen!

For the past four weeks my health has been attacked like never in my life before.  I became very ill with a sore throat, swollen glands and extreme tiredness.  I prayed, fasted and searched God’s heart in what was happening with me.  With thoughts of my mother who at a younger age was faced with throat cancer, my mind started playing games with me.  Eventually I ended up with a fever in my throat and a swollen gland, which made swallowing very difficult.  I did not understand what I was going through, but knew it was on a spiritual level.  After three weeks of prayer I ended up going to see the Dr who found that I had acute Sinusitis.  I was sent for a scan and an appointment was made with an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist.

I started praying, fasting and seeked prayer support from my parents, family, prayer group and friends.  I received Word from so many people but the one scripture which stood out was the one from 2 Corinthians 1 vs 20 that says: “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes in Christ.  And so then through Him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.”  Wow, did you get that reader?  The Amen is spoken on what God has already done and said.  You see, He died on a cross, overcame death and illness.  He now sits at the right hand of God.  This means that when I reflect on the empty cross, I am reminded about the victory of Christ which He gave to us the day we committed our lives to Him.

Now through all the scriptures I received on healing and God’s promise over my life, it became even more evident that not only was it about God’s Word, but my faith in His Word.  I received Isaiah 7 vs 9, 2 Corinthians 1 vs 24 and John 14 vs 1.  I realised that all the prayer and all the scriptures would take effect in my life through faith. I believed, yet in the back of my mind I wondered.  You see dear reader if I have any counter thought to what God’s Word says, anything at all, I can easily cancel out the work that have taken place in me already.  However, remember we do serve a God of mercy and grace.  He blesses us even when we don’t deserve it.  Well, I again and again gave myself over to God.  Again and again I declared His victory over my life and by the morning I had to go and see the specialist for the scan results, I had complete faith in my God.  The specialist only confirmed what the Word of God has already confirmed over my life in that I already received healing through the cross.  Amen!  Glory to God!

Why am I telling you the story?  We often say we have faith but when the going gets tough why then so little faith?  You see dear reader God has won the victory over our lives.  We have already received every spiritual blessing in Christ as per Ephesians 1 vs 3; hence nothing is greater than Jesus’ victory on the cross.  All we require is faith.  Faith holds the key to our success, our health, and our victories.  The Word of God says in 2 Cor 1 vs 24 “it is by faith you stand firm.”

What are you going through at the moment?  Do you believe that through Christ the victory has been won?  We don’t have to fight any battles, for the greatest battle in life has been fought and won by Jesus. Amen!  We only need to believe.  If it is so simple, why then so little faith?  Satan wants you to doubt in the truth for he knows the power of the truth.  Proclaim the truth over and over and believe.  Hebrews 10 vs 39 says: “but we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.” Amen!

I wanted to share my story with you, for the greatest victory for me came to reality the moment, yes the immediate moment I believed with all my heart!  Whether you are lost at this moment or whether you don’t know whether you will be able to see the next challenge through, remember to stand firm in your faith, knowing that by faith you will be set free!

With lots of love in Jesus Name
