When Christ went to the Cross, He could see past your surface layer of sin. Christ could see the worth, value, and potential you carry. It is because you have worth, value, and potential that God pours out his love, grace, kindness, mercy, and Holy Spirit on you.

It is because you can become so much more than what you are as a sinner that God has compassion, tolerance, and charity towards you. It is because you can share in the substance of the Holy Spirit that God forgives you repeatedly.

God sees you fall down countless times. Yet, it is His grace or generosity towards you, the grace that is so great and so strong, that causes Him to reach down to help you up after you have fallen. Being loved this much should make a difference in your life.  Remember the One who loves you, and then be different because of  it.

A baseball ball player can’t play the game without a bat and glove. A soldier can’t go to war without a weapon. Christians can’t live a God-centered life unless they equip themselves with instruction from God’s Word.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path”  (Psalm 119:105).
