This article is Part 2 of 4 on the topic: STAND!
In Part 1 we discussed a girl who was raped and although being forced by her boyfriend and parents, she chose to keep the baby who was born looking just like her. We addressed the issues around such a traumatic event and how will difficult and painful experiences, when placed in God’s hands, can lead to forgiveness, healing, and new beginnings.
By not allowing our challenges to control us, but to take a STAND in Christ and allow Him to take our difficult situations over, He will turn our sorrows into joys. To get the full article on Part 1 please visit our website at www.jesustomyrescue.com.
What if this is your life? Maybe you were also raped, abused, and rejected at some point in your life and today you still carry anger, hatred and hurt. Perhaps you were “damaged” by not receiving love from your parents. It might be that you were abused or bullied at school and perhaps you are still up till today facing such difficult situations. Maybe you decided to abort a child and never worked through the process of receiving God’s forgiveness.
What about having to forgive those who hurt you, but they just go on with their daily lives, as if nothing happened? Perhaps you have lost a loved one and are still struggling to process it. You might be amongst many people on a daily basis, and yet you are alone with no one who loves you and who are there to cry and laugh with you. It could be that you put in all you had in you, to make a business or marriage work, but neither survived. This is life and it happens daily to so many people.
When you speak to people who face these difficulties, many will close-up, deny it or simply ignore it as part of their defence mechanisms to protect themselves. Those who do open-up share emotions such as loneliness, disappointment, anger, depression, and even thoughts of suicide.
None of us can deny that these things happen or still happens in our lives. With that said, the reality is that too many go through life with these emotions and have never worked through the trauma and challenges they had experienced from childhood. This means that forgiveness, release, and restoration is outstanding, leaving room for satan to torment you to the degree of keeping you prisoner to your past when God has a future planned for you.
Reflecting on Part 1 of the article on STAND, I looked at worldometer on abortions and it is shocking to see how every second another tick goes off. When I looked on 13 August 2022 at 17:32 SA central time, the number of abortions for 2022 were standing on 26,314,762. Just think of the effect on the women and dads who gave up on those lives. The emotions of guilt, sorrow, and the what if’s.
Think about those lives lost. Perhaps one of them would have been the next one to save the world from a global environmental crisis. And so, we can look at different statistics on rape, abuse, suicide etc. So many people take their own lives because they simply felt alone and saw no other way out of their pain and situation.
Reading this, makes my heart ache, feeling the pain, loss, and loneliness of so many souls who need salvation, healing, and restoration.
If you are one of these people who are a victim, why not take it to the Lord in prayer. He is our Jehovah Rapha, our Healer. He wants us to forgive, release and restore. He says in Jeremiah 29:12 – 14 and Jeremiah 33:3 that when we call on Him with all our hearts, He will be found by us. Let today be the day for you to STAND up and say: IT IS DONE!
