Just be held

Just be held

My wife and I are currently going through a very challenging time, so much that it feels like our lives are falling apart. A few weeks ago, I was driving, taking my wife to work, and the Holy Spirit reminded me of a well-known song by Casting Crowns, Just be Held.

I decided to listen to the song again, and it really opened eyes. Look, I knew the song very well, but listening to it again, was if it was written for ME. I want to share the words of this song with you, and I ask that you please go and listen to it on YouTube (click here to watch).

Hold it all together
Everybody needs you strong
But life hits you out of nowhere
And barely leaves you holding on

And when you’re tired of fighting
Chained by your control
There’s freedom in surrender
Lay it down and let it go

So, when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held

If your eyes are on the storm
You’ll wonder if I love you still
But if your eyes are on the cross
You’ll know I always have, and I always will

And not a tear is wasted
In time, you’ll understand
I’m painting beauty with the ashes
Your life is in My hands

So, when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held

My brother and sister in Christ, maybe you are in a place right now, a storm, where you feel it’s just not ending. Maybe you feel that your life is falling apart, but today, God is telling you: YOUR LIFE IS NOT FALLING APART IT IS FALLING INTO PLACE.

The storm you are going through now, the challenges that you are facing, is not a sign of your world that is falling apart, but rather you entering a new season. Today God is reminding you that when we go into a new season, the growth process can sometimes be painful.

Think about a rose tree. Before the new seasons starts, the tree needs to be trimmed for it to grow and produce beautiful roses. That trimming process is painful. The same goes for us. When we go into a new season, we are being trimmed to perfection, so that we can bear fruit.

My brother and sister in Christ. Your life is not falling apart, it is falling in place, and while you wait, wait patiently, keep the faith and praise God for the new season.

I end with Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Deuteronomy 31:8: It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

God bless you,
