Righteous God, You are holy and I honour You! Blessed be Your name! Jesus, You are my best friend and Saviour! Holy Spirit, thank You for being my everything, for guiding me, helping me right and making me realise who I am! Amen!

Dear reader, how often don’t we pray and ask God to show us the way, to provide us with a clear answer in something we urgently need advice or guidance on? The reality is, our God is true! Amen! He always answers our prayer, always! It might not be what you want to hear and it might not be in your time, but He always answers! Amen!

Let me tell you a true story from my own life, like I always do. My husband was waiting on promotion in his job for many years and was on more than one occasion told that he would not be promoted now due to affirmative action. Now we might get angry and say this is unfair, but I want to tell you straight out dear reader, that for our God, there are no restrictions and no affirmative action. The truth is, for our God there is righteousness and justice and He will give you what He thinks is the best at the right time and no man will stop Him. This has reference to all people in life, no matter of your race, gender, disability, language or age. To God we are all equal and this is the truth. Well to get back to my story, my husband and I did at some point get angry and this is a human reaction. We however in 2005 did receive word from God in 2 Corinthians 1 verses 20 -21 that says “for no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.

He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” Wow, this Word is awesome and we knew through that Word that God still had plans for my husband in his current job. So we waited and waited and year after year nothing happened. We saw people younger than him in the business simply picking up promotion becoming his seniors, and off course this did not feel good. However, we kept the promise of 2 Corinthians 1 verses 20 – 21 in our hearts. He was transferred to another section, where he was told that he would never be able to get promotion there because of his type of qualifications. He still accepted the transfer to gain experience and remembered God’s promise. After two years of being exposed to the environment, they started using him in higher positions and yes dear reader, after almost four years of waiting and hearing people say “no promotion in this field,” our Lord came through and my husband was promoted! Thank you Jesus, Amen!

You see dear reader; it was not about affirmative action or favour. It was about what God wanted for my husband at that specific time. We must realise that if we give our hearts to Jesus it is about assignments that God gives to us. When you start believing that you are at a specific place for a specific assignment and don’t couple your time to that, you will know what God wants you to do, and by when. And when the time is right, you will receive the next assignment. All blessings are already yours and whatever you need, will be given to you in His time.

Now coming to what I want to say. If you prayed about something, and God gave you Word, that is final. God never goes back on His Word, He is true and so is His word. So if you received Word and then stated doubting, I want to be straight with you, stop it! Stop doubting our God! If you doubt after you received and answer from God, nothing will happen. It says in James 1 verses 5 – 8 says “if any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Dear reader, if you choose to ask God for guidance and receive an answer, you must stand on that word, not coupling your time and your will to it. God is true; He will answer you as it says in James 5 verse 16 “the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

Well, then it is all said. If God says it is so, it is so!

With lots of love in Jesus Name

Princess K
