Today I would like to offer a prayer for each and every one who has had to say goodbye to a loved one in this time of Covid. If you have lost a loved one, read this prayer and receive it today, and if you know someone who has lost a loved one, share this payer with them.
Let us start with the Lord’s prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)
Father today we give you this heart. You know Lord that it is not easy. You know Lord how deep the pain is. We know Father that we live in a broken world and that You have paid a very dear price to set us free from its chains. We know that it can no longer condemn us, and that death has lost its sting, but Lord you have given us a heart to love and You know Lord that the most precious things we have in this world, are the ones we love.
Jesus today I ask You to please heal this broken heart, Lord we ask that You would do what only You can do and give them the strength to go on and give them the courage to face the world again. Help them Lord to accept the peace You offer, because You know Lord that it is not an easy step to take. Father cover them and flood them with Your presence, hold their hearts in Your hand and bring calmness over them.
Lord let them rest awhile in the shadow of Your kind and gentle love and speak into their spirit all that is true so that the enemy would have no time to make them believe that You are not a good God. Father, there is much we do not understand Lord, but we know that You have said that Your grace is sufficient for them and that Your power is made perfect in their weakness, so we ask You Lord to reveal Yourself to them now, we ask that You raise them up and strengthen their frame to complete the purpose You have for their lives.
This heart needs You Lord. Come and be their joy again Lord, come and be their hope. You are greater than all things, above anything we could imagine. You have been here before it began, and You will outlast anything in all existence. You see the end from the beginning, time cannot capture You and nothing is unknown to You.
We cannot fathom the dimensions of your being and we are completely unworthy of your grace, but still, You have chosen us, You have gone to prepare a place for us to be with You. Lord, we thank You and we humble ourselves before You Lord.
Thank You Jesus that we are able to give You this prayer today. Thank You Lord, that we know You love this heart and the ones that they were parted from. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray,
