For those who don’t believe

I’m sure all of you have doubted somewhere in your lives, maybe even today. I’m sure somewhere in your life the thought came across your mind that maybe there is no God, maybe it is all just some made up story  that was written by some people long ago.

It’s human that we would think that. We are always looking for some easy way to look at things or understand them. We don’t always see the bigger picture. Yes we don’t see God, we don’t feel Him and there is no physical proof of His existence. That’s what we think right? But when we look at the bigger picture, is there really no proof? Can we really not see and feel Him? Isn’t this what we should really be asking?

Now besides the earth and how exactly it all goes together, I will name one thing; let’s say that if the earth did not turn that there would be no life possible here, because there would be no wind or sea currents to regulate the temperatures on earth or carry the rain over the land to bring forth life etc. Keep thinking about it, you will see what I mean and I have only mentioned one thing, there are many more things that are exactly the way they are with a reason.

Besides all the reasons why the earth did not just bang up out of space and things and people just started living and that there is absolutely no way that this could all happen by “accident”, if you still don’t believe and you think that you can’t feel or see God and that there is no proof of Him, which there clearly is, then think about the next few things.

God did miracles in the time when the Bible was written, we all know that even those who don’t believe know that, but has He ever stopped? Not at all! If you have heard or seen peoples’ lives change dramatically from being homeless or a constant drunk trying to find answers or happiness in all the wrong places and then they turn to God and everything changes all of a sudden, even if it took a while. Could you still say there is no proof?

Have you ever prayed so intensely and taken God to all you deepest darkest fears and secrets that your chest warms up and you start shaking. Have you ever felt the relief of stress or troubles when it all gets to a point where you can’t find any way out and then when you trust God instead of yourself, how he opens a door for you and you know it’s all right now. Have you ever seen anything beautiful enough that it took your breath away? Can you still say you can’t feel Him?

Have you ever heard or experienced, how He literally makes a crippled man walk, so instantly that everyone around him could hear how his bones are being reformed. Have you had someone you love or even someone you know, lie on their death bed with the doctors telling you that there is nothing they can do, that this person could not be saved and then with the power of prayer this person is healed completely of something the doctors said could not be healed. Could you still say you can’t see God?

Maybe you are looking in the wrong places. We all wonder about a lot of things, but think about it. Even if we got the answers we were looking for, would we really understand everything? No, that is why we should just trust God, He knows better, always have and always will. So have no doubt, He has good reason for everything he does, even if you don’t understand it.
