Are you doing enough?

Are you doing enough to be called a child of God?  Are you the perfect Christian? Are you worthy of His forgiveness? Do you deserve your blessings? Do you deserve all His love and grace? Are you worthy of His mercy?

If your answer to any of the questions was: yes, if you feel that you are doing enough to deserve all these things. Then you are wrong. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Nothing you will ever do will be enough, will make you worthy of salvation. You don’t receive His grace because you are a good person. You don’t receive His love because you are righteous. You don’t receive His mercy because you are holy. You do not receive the Lords favour because you are without sin.

You receive grace, love, mercy and all the other blessings in your life because and ONLY because, HE is good! HE is righteous! HE is Holy and without sin. Not because of anything you did, but because of what HE did! You are worthy of an abundant life because of the blood of Jesus not because of anything you do to deserve it.

If you don’t see it this way then you still don’t understand how great our God is, how awesome His love is, how precious the blood of Jesus is. God has given you the gift of life and it is far greater than any gift and still there is nothing you could ever do to deserve this, you receive this because of His undying love and the way He proved it to us.

All you have to do is to live for Him, trust Him with your life. Let Him be your salvation and He will. He loves you and wants you to know that what He did was for you, was so that you can live life and live it abundantly. Romans 5:17: For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Lord we thank you for your blood. Jesus thank you for your love and mercy, Father we know we would have had to pay for our own sins if it was not for your sacrifice. Lord there is no higher name, there is no greater love! Thank you for our salvation and that we know all our battles have already been won in your Name Jesus. Amen.
