Father God, I honour and praise Your Holy Name! Father, I live to worship You and You alone. Jesus Christ, You came into my life and changed the way I think and do things. You are my Saviour, Lord and King! Holy Spirit, just by saying Your name, I start shaking and get emotional. I love You with all my heart and You are so much a part of me. You are my every breathe and I can’t live without You! Amen!
Since December 2010 when God first gave me scripture around sharing the desires of my heart with Him, I have been changed. I am simply not the same person that I was in December 2010 and it is now eight months later and I am more in love with Christ, than ever before. I want to tell you how I feel, what I have experienced off late, but will I ever find the right words to convey my thoughts and feelings to you? I pray that the Holy Spirit alone will write my thoughts and speak on behalf of me in this article and therefore I now give myself over to Him!
When the Spirit of God spoke to me through Psalm 37:4 saying “delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” I never could have imagined what was going to happen to me. Not only did I read the Word and thought it powerful, I opened my heart and received it! I decided this year to journey around this scripture and started sharing it with friends, family, colleagues and at women’s days. Wow, suddenly it was like heaven breaking open over me. My faith grew stronger every day. I suddenly had strength and boldness like never before and even the gift of prophesy from the Holy Spirit was taken to a higher and deeper level.
Once all of this happened, I didn’t look back. I wanted more, more of Christ, more of the Holy Spirit and started fasting and praying and using Holy Communion more often, realising that the Holy Communion is not just a reminder of what Christ did, but the strength it has in celebrating victory in every challenge and area of your life. Now in August 2011, I am still feeling empowered by the Holy Spirit like never before. Praise God! My prayer life has changed. Praise and worship reached deeper levels and I know that nothing, but nothing is greater than the love of God. Praise Jesus!
So, first the desires of the heart, then using Holy Communion as celebration over challenges, deeper praise and worship with all fears and challenges fade as I came into the presence of God in praising and worshipping Him with songs. More praying in tongues, even as I am driving in my car or having to face a challenge, it simply just flows. Then we started in July with a series in home cell on prosperity as presented by Gloria Copeland and Pastor George Pearsons. Oh dear reader, as you know, God already started talking to us about prosperity last year and in one of the articles, we spoke about prosperity being your birthright. Amen! But this time, the series is taking us deeper into understanding that satan is stealing from us and the best part of it all is that we allow Him.
You see, God has given you everything because as His son and daughter, you share in every spiritual blessing that belongs to Him. However, we tend to feel sorry for ourselves and get miserable when the tiniest challenge especially in finances, come our way. We then start saying things like “I can’t or I don’t have.” This in itself gives leeway to satan to come along and take your birthright and give it to the people living in the world. You see, we as reborn Christians are not of this world anymore. We belong in Heaven, but until Jesus comes to fetch us, we have to stay on earth, working for Him.
Oh dear reader, I have so much to say. I want you to know who you are in Christ. Know that you ARE an heir of Christ and that prosperity in health, finances etc is your birthright. Don’t give it away to satan on a silver plate. Start standing up for yourself. Believe in who you are. Know the strength that you received when the Holy Spirit came upon you (Acts 1:8). You have been empowered to be more than what you are now. Stop moaning and stop being negative, in Jesus Name! Take up your position in Christ and start claiming back what satan has stolen from you. Remember, he has no right to own anything. Amen! He owns what you give him.
Take it back in Jesus Name! Claim back your loved ones, your finances, your health or anything that was taken from you and don’t negotiate along the way. You are who you are! Do your hear me? You are who you are and that is a son and daughter of God. You are nothing less than royalty! So, get up from wherever you are sitting and sulking and feeling sorry for yourself! Remember that Christ has already empowered you (Acts 1:8) but what have you done with that power? If you have given it away, in Jesus Name, right now claim it back!
I trust you have heard my heart dear reader, because quite frankly, I am getting so frustrated with all of us, giving into satan’s deceit. I am so annoyed with all of us not taking our rightful place in the Kingdom of God. I am tired of bending to the financial and health challenges of this world and in the name of Jesus Christ I made the decision that it stops right here and right now! Amen. What about you? If you are serious about what the Holy Spirit of God has said to us in this article, then pray the next prayer with me.
“Jesus Christ, for too long, I have surrendered to this world, even though I have given my heart to You. I have allowed myself to be pulled into the negativity of this world and I have not taken up my birthright. Father, I however now acknowledge that satan has no right to steal from me or even to loan from me. I acknowledge that what I have not claimed or taken up, satan came along and helped himself by giving it to the people living in the world and not living in Christ. But right now and right here, I choose to step out of this worldly circle of negativity and feeling of powerless. Oh my Lord, I choose right now to take up my birthright. I am crowned in Your glory. I am and heir of the Holy God. I have every spiritual blessing in and upon my life. I declare that there is nothing that I lack. I declare that I am healthy and that love reigns in every area of my life. I declare that no challenge is greater than what I can face, because of You living in me. I claim back everything that satan has taken from me and finally I declare that prosperity is my birthright. I choose to claim it, believe it and live it, in the name of Jesus Christ.” Amen!
If you are one of the people reading this message and are one of those living in the world and do not have a personal relationship with Christ, then this is your opportunity. Pray this prayer and become a co-heir with me in the Kingdom of God. “Lord Jesus I believe that You are the son of God and that you came to earth as man to die for my sins on the cross. I also believe that you rose from the dead after overcoming death and that you are now in heaven preparing a way for the children of God. Please come and live in my heart and forgive me of all my sins. I love You and choose You to be my Saviour forever. Amen.” Now don’t let it stay there. Join a church and prayer group because you will need Christian friends to support and encourage you.
Dear reader, as Gloria Copeland and Pastor George Pearsons said, as inspired by the Holy Spirit, we are not subject to the times, the times are subject to us (Ps 27:1 – 6, Ps 31:14 – 15, Ps 32: 6 – 7). We are also separated from world’s failing systems because we are to thrive and not just survive (John 17:13 – 22).
Praise God, we are empowered to be more!

PS: Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version. If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly. A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible. This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
