Father, I am so honoured to be Your daughter. I am so proud to call You my Father. I feel so close to You, like never before. All I want to do is to sit at Your feet and allow You to put Your hand on my head and to stroke my hair. Blessed be the Your name! Amen. Lord Jesus, I have no words to explain how I feel about You. You know me better than anyone and I worship You and You alone as my Lord and Saviour. Amen. Holy Spirit of God, how do I describe You to anyone? You are soft and gentle, and I realise that I would not be alive, if it was not for You. Thank you for living inside of me, for guiding me, loving me, protecting me. I love You with all my heart, and give my life into Your hands. Amen!
Whilst on holiday, I asked the Lord what His message to me is for 2011. Every year, He gives me something different, something new. As I waited on the Lord, He told me that every day will be a new day. What happened yesterday was in the past and nothing can change the fact that it had happened. What could change is how I approach it today. The Lord told me that every day will have its own challenges, but also so, will each day come to a close with the challenges being dealt with. Praise be unto Him, who promises to do as He says. I then realised that 2011 will bring many challenges, daily. The good and comforting thought however is that each and every challenge will be overcome, through Christ giving me strength. Amen.
Dear reader, perhaps today you are reading this article and just like me, it feels like you haven’t even been on holiday. Perhaps you are challenged at work or is it your finances or your marriage that are being challenged? You might think that what you are going through is never going to end. Are you suffering, being humiliated and not knowing in which direction your life is heading? If this is you, then take a moment and close your eyes. Think of the crucifixion. Think about the movie, Passion of the Christ. Can you see it? Can you see how Jesus was taking the blame for something He did not committed? Can you see that He was suffering on that cross, for you? His blood was shed; His life was taken for you! Amen!
Why am I telling you this? Well, when the going gets tough and the challenges start streaming in, feeling like it is overshadowing your life, you need time out. You need to rethink your whole approach on life. You should not be feeling like it is the end of the world, when it really is not. These words are hard, I know. You might say that who am I to tell you how you feel and how you should act or not act, if I am not in the situation you are in. Well, you are right; I am not in your situation. However, I serve a mighty God, Lord and Saviour. He HAS suffered for you. He HAS died for you. He OVERCAME death for you. He is ALIVE, and in heaven, preparing a place for us. Therefore I want to tell you today, that if you are in over your head with challenges, and feel like they are running your life, STOP! Take a moment, think back to what happened on the cross and where Jesus is today. Claim the victory that He has given you already. Stop asking and start praising. Stop moaning and start praising. Stop trying to fight the battles and start praising Him for the battles which have already been won. Stop negotiating with satan and start praising God for delivering you from all satan’s schemes. Satan has no hold on your life and he can only enter your thoughts and life if you let him. Amen!
Dear reader, will we have challenges? Yes, off course we will have challenges. Will it be easy to deal with them? Never will a challenge be easy per say, but it is with which attitude we face them. If we are negative, we will struggle but if we are positive at mind, we will proclaim victory, even though the challenge is on. Get up every morning and realise that God has given you a new day. What a privilege to live another day. Keep your focus on what God’s purpose for your life is and as the challenges come your way, remember who to give them to. Don’t try to face them alone. From this moment on, do as it says in Proverbs 16:3 “commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” You see, simply commit yourself and your challenges to the Lord, and He will take care of the rest. He will give you the peace of Philippians 4:6-7.
Don’t allow your days to be ruined. Don’t allow your life to be ruined. Deal with the past by asking forgiveness from those that you have sinned against and forgive those that sinned against you. Then ask the Lord’s forgiveness and receive His purification and peace (1 John 1:9). Now move on and remember that each day will have its challenges, but God is in control. All He asks from you is to live in Him, day by day.
With lots of love in Jesus Name
Princess K
PS: Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version. If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly. A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible. This does not always occur, but has happened in some instances.
