DECLARE IN JESUS NAME
Father, in Jesus name we give You honour and glory. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. You are our God and we serve You and You alone. Jesus, You are our Saviour and there is no one like You. You have our hearts, souls and minds! Holy Spirt, we give to You every part of our lives, thoughts and choices. In Jesus name. Amen!
In the past 2 weeks, I once again realised how great our God is. We as a family stood on God’s promises in His Word and we keep on seeing the miracles streaming in, every day of our lives. The more I have of God, the more I want. Nothing of me, all of Him! I want to share with you what God showed us and what He gave us from His Word. Please also share it with others, because God is real, His Word is alive and when we call upon Him and His Word, we will never ever be put to shame.
When we accept Jesus into our hearts, His Word lives in us, through the Holy Spirit of Christ. This is amazing news as it means that we have the best possible teacher, which is the Holy Spirit. We also have God’s Word, which is alive as it says in Heb 4:12: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Therefore, God’s Word is the best weapon to use in every challenge we must face in life! Amen!
The reality then is that if we belong to God, we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor 5:21), we have the Holy Spirit and we have a weapon which is alive and active. What more do we need in this world? Rom 8:31 says: “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
It is written so beautifully in the Message Bible: “So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His Own Son, is there anything else He wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us – who was raised to life for us! – is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.
Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing – nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable – absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.” Amen!
Dear reader, if all the above is true, why don’t we then see miracles every day in our lives? What are we then afraid of? What is stopping us from standing up and declaring God’s Word as the final authority over our lives? Nothing! Absolutely nothing, other than us not choosing to do and believe it. Yes; sometimes we do not see the results with our eyes immediately, but that is why we need to stand in faith (Heb 11:1) and to see the results with our hearts.
Let our hearts in Christ feed our minds and not the other way around. And when we call in God’s Word, we must stand firm (Is 7:9) and take nothing less than His promises and truth. Fast, pray, seek God, proclaim His Word and call into existence every promise of God! In Jesus name, we are the blessed, we are the healed, we are the victorious and we are the highly favored, not trying to get it but because we received it in Christ by faith and grace. Hallelujah! Amen!
With this truth, nothing must ever stop us again from standing up and stepping out for God. Nothing must ever get us down and for sure nothing must ever question our identity in Christ. Yes, we will be challenged and satan will attack; but if we know who we are in Christ and what the truth in God’s Word is, we must not be shaken and we must not fear. Simply call upon Jesus and the Word of God, for the truth in God’s Word will set you free (John 8:32). Amen!
God’s Word is full of promises (Isa 55:11). He also wants us to delight ourselves in Him (Ps 37:4) by giving Him our hearts, time, choices and trust. Spend time with Him in prayer and in His Word. As you seek Him, you will find Him (Jer 33:3). Make time, put in an effort and trust me, your whole life will change for the good.
