Father God, I honour You! Jesus, Your Majesty, I live only for You. Thank you for always being my best friend. Holy Spirit, You are in me, around me and without You, my life is empty. I honour You! Amen!
We often find ourselves in situations where we feel that we do not have control. Well, I have felt like that many times. What about you? In the past few weeks, I felt like that again. Both my children were challenged by illness that simply persisted no matter how many times I prayed, proclaimed and anointed them with oil in the name of Jesus. Eventually, I got so tired and even feeling helpless. But then, God stepped in, the minute I acknowledged that I simply didn’t know what else to do. After two weeks of doctors and medicine and the kids missing school and university, we again took them to hospital one Friday night just before 24H00.
As the Dr ran tests, my husband and I received confirmation that their was a severe attack from satan on our children. The doctor confirmed that the tests were all negative and that the kids were actually using he right medicine. Hence, the fever, nausea and difficulty in breathing were all an attack from satan. Well, as we left the hospital we proclaimed: “It is done!” Again, healing was called in, in Jesus name, but this time expressed and confirmed by His blood. We continued proclaiming it and by the Saturday morning, God gave us word from Zechariah 4:6 that says “not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord Almighty.” Now if you read my articles regularly, you will know that this scripture has come up many times. And so, we started praying this scripture aloud in the house, over each other, over and over again, proclaiming victory. By Saturday evening my kids were healed. Amen! Praise God.
From my experience in the past two weeks I realised that although I proclaimed and believed in healing in the name of Jesus, I still felt like things weren’t going right for us. This was simply because I could not see results immediately. However, when I sat down and thought about it carefully, I realised one thing. God is Almighty. He is in control and He always, always comes through for His children. What about you? What have your challenges been like? Did it bring you to a point where you started asking questions to God, as to why? Perhaps you have been hurt or disappointed by someone else. Then again, maybe it feels like the challenges are pouring down on you and that it is so overwhelming, that it seems just too much to deal with.
You might have made a business decision that you have regretted, but are still facing the consequences thereof. Whatever it might be, do you sometimes feel that things just don’t go your way? Often, when you have reached this point, you start doubting God’s existence and why you even bother serving Him when it appears like He is not present because He is not coming through for you while in the challenge. Well dear reader, it is exactly as I have just put it, it is how you feel. God is always there, always around you, inside of you! He promises in Joshua 1:5 “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” This dear reader is a promise directly from God. If challenges come your way and you feel like God is not there, you are fooling yourself based on your feelings. If you have committed your heart to Jesus, the Word of Joshua 1:5 must stick to you like superglue. Remember, satan only has a past and not a future. He would want you to think that Jesus has left you, but this is a lie! Even when you don’t feel His presence, He expects us to have faith and to believe that He is there. Let me put it this way. The fact that you are reading this message from God was due to His awesome presence in you, giving you the ability to read, think and breathe. This is the truth!
Dear reader, I would like to tell you that when you call on the name of Jesus as it says in Jeremiah 29:11-14, He will listen and be found by you as you seek Him with all your heart. When things don’t go our way, we often doubt God and start asking Him why. However, when things go so well we praise Him! What is wrong with us? God expects us to praise Him when things go well as well as when things don’t seem to go our way. We have no right to doubt His presence or existence. He and He alone is God! Amen!
Perhaps today you are facing a difficult time with things not going your way. Maybe, you doubt Him and His true love for you because of things happening in your life. You must understand one thing dear reader. Even in all your anger and the thought of turning your back on God, He will NEVER turn His back on you (Joshua 1:5). Remember He is not a pawn in your hand to be moved around on your instructions of when, where and how He must react. He is God Almighty and in his time and according to His will, He reacts. If you feel that God has left you and that you no longer want to follow Him, remember this.
He hung on a cross for you and in this time of severe pain and humiliation, he also felt betrayed by His Father when He called out the words of Mark 15:34 that say “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” You see dear reader if there is one who understands how you feel when you are alone in a challenge, it is Jesus. Talk to Him; tell Him how you feel for He fully understands. Furthermore, He also understands that God never forsake Him, for on the third day, Jesus rose again and therefore is living proof that although it feels like God has forsaken you, it is merely a feeling. This is where faith steps in. You must believe that God is with you even when things don’t seem to go your way. Trust God. Trust His Word and remember satan will do all in his power to make you think that Jesus has forsaken you, so that you would turn your back on God.
In summary, when things don’t go your way, allow the Holy Spirit of God to take over to show the way!
With lots of love in Jesus Name
