HIS LOVE – YOUR VICTORY

Father God, what an honour to be called Your daughter.  Amen!  Jesus Christ, what an honour to have You as my Saviour, my Lord and best friend.  Amen!  Holy Spirit, what an honour to have You living inside of me!  Amen!

My life has been very busy since the year began and I find myself constantly having to go into a time of prayer to stay focused on what God’s plan is for me.  Praise Him for His guidance and strength and that every morning I wake up, I see every day as an opportunity.  Amen!

We live in a modern, fast changing world with fashion, medicine, education and the economy changing on a daily basis.  This in itself creates many challenges as people are constantly “fighting” for that promotion and to be seen and heard.  If you don’t dress in a certain way, you are regarded out of fashion.  Not living in certain areas and mingling with certain people, you are often looked down upon.  Having money and status buys friendship and happiness and if you prefer art and culture above everyday “normal” life, people tend to label you as odd.  My goodness what has happened to this world where everyone wants to be someone else, somewhere else and doing something else?  This has resulted in so many people feeling the pressures of life.

I realise that in the world that God has given to us to manage, many of the challenges and fast paste of living is simply our own doing.  We design, we implement and we choose.  Don’t get me wrong, better technology and modernised processes and systems is luxurious for all of us and is suppose to save us time, and it does.  However, if we have better systems and more time, why are we still not sleeping enough, still not having enough hours in our day and less time for relaxation and quality time with our loves ones?  What are we doing wrong, or what should we be doing differently?

I personally think that because jobs are not just readily available, people work harder and study more in order to maintain a competitive edge in this fast changing world, making our chances better to be selected for a job or promotion.  After all, we have to look after our families.  I don’t think it is wrong to work hard as we have a responsibility to stay informed in order to make a difference.  However, what I do think is that we need to balance our lives so that we don’t lose our loved ones, ourselves or drown along the way.

My idea of balance might be different from yours.  I don’t believe in 50/50.  I believe in 100/100.  It is really simple.  With all the challenges we face, we get deeper and deeper into the feeling like we are spinning out of control and that is exactly what is happening.  The minute we feel that we have no control, it is evidence that we have been in control all along.  Am I confusing you?  Listen carefully.  If you feel you have lost control, why did you have control in the first place?  If you live 100% for Jesus, He should be the one in control.  Yes, we plan and make choices, but it should be through His guidance, hence His control.  He gave 100% of His life for through Jesus’ life.  He is still giving you 100% of His life every single day for Christ is alive and in you.  Amen!  So why do we only give Him early mornings, late evenings and maybe Sundays?  He wants 100% of your life and your choices.  Give Him all of you and He will stay in control and equip you to deal with the rush of this world.

Life is moving fast and in a world chasing success and improvement on a continuous basis, this will be life and we are right in the middle of it.  It won’t go away, so we have to make sure that in the midst of all the chaos and challenges we don’t lose focus.  Read and apply Mat 6:25 – 34 and Mat 7:7 – 8 in your life and base all your decisions on the guidance of God (James 1:5).  Dear reader, if we don’t seek God first and ask His wisdom in decisions to make and which road to take, we will get lost and find ourselves with the rest of this world, swimming for survival.  Being in Christ, we should not even be swimming or even be walking on water.  We should in all challenges, rise like an eagle and fly above the challenges of life.

Maybe it is time to take time out.  Reflect where you are in this day and age of rush and no sleep and start over by giving control back to Christ.  Then ask, listen, choose and trust.  Remember challenges and busy schedules there will be, but Jesus Christ gave His body, His blood, His life and His love for You.  You will never lack anything!  His love is your life.  His love is your victory in every challenge.  Amen!

Lots of love

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your Bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but happens in some instances.
