Father God, You and You alone is God Almighty.  Amen!  Jesus Christ, You and You alone is the Saviour of this world.  Amen!  Holy Spirit, You and You alone have all of my heart.  Amen!

“Lord You know what I have done, and You know what I’m yet to do, but still You do, You love me like You do, as if there is no one else to love…..so I close my eyes and pray, cause You hear the words that I say, cause I want to thank You Jesus for not letting go…..”  Riana Nell

I often stand amazed at who my God is and how much Jesus Christ loves me.  I mean, God gave His only son so that I could live forever.  Jesus was beaten, cursed, tortured, betrayed, humiliated, belittled and eventually crucified so that I could have eternal life and abundant health and prosperity.  That is my God, my Lord, and my Saviour.  Lord I owe You my life and all I have to offer, my heart and soul.  Amen!

When I look at how much Jesus cares for and loves me, I realise how many times I have disappointed and hurt Him.  Even in times when we know something is not right, we still do it.  Thank God for His Holy Spirit inside of me, convicting me for when I do wrong, then leading me in prayer to forgiveness from the heart and assisting me to not do it again.  Thank you Jesus for never giving up on me.  How about you?  Have you ever felt like that, or is it just me?  Never once think that what you have done, are busy doing right now or will still do, can change the Lord’s love for you.  That off course does not mean you have a green card to go wild and sin.  No it means that when you fail, do not despair.  Seek the Lord in prayer and you will find his forgiveness in love.

Let’s take a look at some people in the Bible who have done wrong but never lost the Lord’s love.  There was Abraham in the book of Genesis.  Now he had a promise that God would give him a son and when Sarah did not fall pregnant, on advice from her, he slept with Hagar the maidservant and she gave birth to Ishmael.  Yes Ishmael was blessed, but the promise of God to increase Abraham’s descendants was to come from his son with Sarah, namely Isaac.  Again when God said to him at the age of 100 and Sarah at the age of 90, that they will be with child, Abraham laughed in doubt.  However God was true and although Abraham doubted him, God gave him Isaac.

Then there was David in the book of 1 Samuel.  Now David was loved by God and at a young age he was anointed by Samuel as the new King.  David had tremendous faith and because He lived close to God, He knew that God would give him the strength to do anything.  Yet in 2 Samuel we read how David longed to have another man’s wife and because he wanted Bathsheba he went to the extreme to get her.  He surely sinned and felt guilty about it.  Yes, the Lord took the son born to him by Bathsheba but God also forgave David because He loved him dearly and blessed him abundantly.

We also read in the book of Luke, how Peter who loved the Lord so much, said he would go to prison and to death with the Lord, however he disowned him 3 times.  Yes, that must have hurt the Lord so much and not to mention how Peter had felt.  However, that did not mean that the Lord loved him less.  Peter’s ministry and discipleship for the Lord never stopped and brought many to come to know the Lord.

What about you dear reader.  What have you done or are you busy with that you might think it is completely unforgiving and that the Lord would not look at you twice?  How long have you walked with things in your heart that have kept you from being joyful?  Well I tell you the devil is a liar.  He will bring you to the point of choosing wrong, making mistakes and then turns on you and accuses you of being a bad person not deserving of love and forgiveness.  Praise God that satan is a liar and that means that no matter where you are in your life right now or where you have been, God is standing with open arms to welcome you in love and forgiveness.  That is all He wants, your heart and your love (1 John 1:9, Rom 8.1, Heb 10:35).  You see, He already died on the cross and shed His blood for you!  Don’t crucify yourself, come to Jesus to take care of you and allow His blood to heal your heart.  Amen!  If you have never done it just go on your knees right now and ask Him into your heart.  Ask Him to forgive you for the things you have done wrong and to lead you into a new life with Him at the steering wheel of your life.  Amen!

Lord thank You for loving us unconditionally.  Lord, You do know where we come from and You do know what we have done.  Yet You are prepared to forgive us.  We hurt You in the wrong choices we make, yet You keep loving us as if there is no one else to love.  Oh Lord, no one can fathom Your love, no one!  Thank you for never letting go!  Amen

Lots of love

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your Bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but happens in some instances.
