Take me deeper

Father God, I honour You and give You glory for who I am.  Jesus Christ You are my Saviour and without You my life has no meaning.  Holy Spirit, thank you for being my every breath.  I am saved by the blood of Jesus.  Hallelujah!  Amen!

It is such an honour and privilege to be back writing to you after a wonderful and blessed leave period of 4 weeks.  We have had an opportunity to spend 3 weeks in God’s nature and felt Him so close to us.  All the glory to God!  Amen!

As 2013 drew to a close, I experienced that 2014 is going to be a year of FAITH.  Now we all know that faith is the key to seeing things through and hoping for new things to come.  But I experienced that in 2014, God is going to take us deeper in our faith, to where we have never wondered before.  Now that makes me both excited and leaves a turn in my stomach.  Don’t get me wrong, I trust my God for every journey, but this time it is different.  In my life alone, many big things are happening all at once and everything seems greater, more and therefore I am now on a journey for a whole year, having to trust God like never before.  As the year began, I took time out alone with Jesus and wrote down all the things in my personal life, finances, work and Jesus to My Rescue projects that I trust Him for in 2014.  I committed it all to the Lord in prayer, sealed it by using Holy Communion and then placed it in a spot where I can see it regularly.  Now, all I have to do is know that God’s promises for me that all I want to accomplish this year will be met, requires my dedication to take action and exercise faith like never before.  I trust God.  Amen!

Why am I telling you all of this?  Dear reader.  The word I receive about deeper faith was not just for me.  I experienced in the Spirit that all around people will experience this journey and therefore I wanted to tell you how it came about and the message that also came with it.  Open your heart to receive and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to your heart.

Psalm 31:14 – 15 says, “But I trust in You, O lord; I say, “You are my God.”  My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.”  From this Word I received three words, namely trust, wait and results.  I am going to demonstrate in a table format what God has shown me.

Trust Wait Results
We give everything we trust God for over to Him in prayer.  We speak to Him, share with Him, pray, write it down etc.  Now here we do not have the answers and do not see the results yet.  However we know that we can go to our Lord and Saviour and trust Him.  (Prov 3:5) Once we have given what we are trusting God for over to Him, the waiting period starts.  Now sometimes we get the answers and see the changes immediately, but other times it means having to wait it out and trust God for the result.  This is then also the time when our faith is tested the most.  This is also when satan attacks the most and sometimes leaving us feeling

  • Negative
  • Lost
  • Desperate
  • Doubting
  • Depressed

Remember, satan only has a past, but oh yes, he knows the future.  He knows that when you choose Jesus and place your trust in Him, what you ask for and it is in God’s will, it will happen.  So he is out there to give you hell on earth to try and stop you from having faith in God.  Therefore, you will have to persevere in prayer and not doubt at all, no matter how it looks at that point in time (Isa 7:9, James 1:6 – 8).  You will have to:

  • Stay positive
  • Have no fear
  • Keep your faith in God
  • Be hopeful

During the waiting period you will be tested, but God will provide the way out for you every time (1 Cor 10:13).  During this time your faith will grow like never before and therefore you will become stronger.  This strength will carry you next time you have to face a challenge and that challenge will grow your strength ever further.

Ps 27:14, Isa 40:31,

When we stand firm in our faith and persevere, we will see the results.  It might not always be what we wanted, but when we sit back and look at what had happened we will see that it was the best result for us.  When we stood the test, every value will be lifted in our lives, every mountain destroyed and God’s glory will shine in every area of our lives.

(James 1:12)

Remember dear reader as God takes you deeper in your faith and you ask for something which he says NO for, it does not mean that because it is NO for now, it will never happen.  Our God plans only the best for His children (Jer 29:11) and if you believe in Him and His Word, you have to believe that all things will work out for your own good, but firstly to honour God.  Amen!

As we face 2014, let us put this year before God and trust Him unconditionally.  We can’t and don’t have to do this by ourselves.  That is why God has sent His Holy Spirit to live inside of us and to guide us in all the decisions we have to make.

“Welcome Holy Spirit.  Fill us with Your presence, clothe us with Your power and breathe inside of us.”  Amen!

“You called me out upon the waters, the great unknown…..in oceans deep my faith will stand….and I will call upon your name, and keep my eyes above the waves, when oceans rise my soul will rest in Your embrace, for I am Yours and You are mine……Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me.  Take me deeper than my feet could ever wonder and my faith would be made stronger in the presence of my Saviour.  Hillsong

Lots of love

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your Bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but happens in some instances.
