Don’t Delay, God is calling

Father I never knew what love was until I became your daughter and met my Saviour Jesus.  Father thank You for Your unfailing and never ending love.  Jesus Christ thank You for saving my soul, for giving me eternal love and life.  Holy Spirit, with You nothing is impossible for me.  Thank You for living inside of me. Amen!

Dear reader, today’s article is similar to a previous article I have written some time back.  However, the Holy Spirit has prompted it upon my heart to write to you again about God calling to people and His children and therefore I am going to be obedient and follow His lead in writing to you as He guides me.  Amen!

When you sit in the train, car or bus travelling alongside the road, what do you see?  When you sit in a restaurant and looking around, what do you see?  When you sit at the doctor waiting for your appointment, what do you see?  We all will have different answers, depending on where we are and what we are looking at.  However, everywhere we go, we see advertisements of movies, food, cosmetics, cars, housing etc.  Everyone somewhere throughout the day are being exposed to some kind of advertising.  People pitch for sales and market their products all with the aim to sell and make a profit.  Exciting for sure, also a very good way to stay abreast with new developments, trends and ways to save money.  Hence, we all respond by finding out more about this new development or product and when we like what we see, we try it out and if it is what we expected, it becomes a part of our life.  Once accustomed, we start our search all over again and for some this is one of their major excitements in life, even without knowing it.

So back on the train, bus and in the car.  Back in the restaurant and doctor’s waiting room.  What else do you see?  I see many faces and hearts calling out for help.  So many people are hurting and in need of Jesus’ healing spiritually, emotionally and physically.  There are those who think they know it all and then there are those who know but are not sure.  Others know nothing at all.  You must be wondering what I am talking about?  Many people talk a great deal and have lots of money and early possessions but they have not Christ, hence they have nothing at all.  All they possess is from the world and so the world can take it from them at any time.  So they look happy, but are they?  Then there are those who knows of Christ and even go to church to do the Christian thing, but their life is so empty as they have no relationship with Christ.  Others have Christ in them but don’t allow the Holy Spirit to minister to them in order to grow in their ministry, hence they often feel empty.

The reality is that people move around us all the time and although they don’t physically advertise themselves, they just like advertisements, cry out to be seen and heard.  The question is, do you see them, do you hear them or is your life so busy that you simply don’t hear anything.  What about God calling you?  What if you are the person being called and God is the one calling?  Do you hear Him?  Do you see Him?  How do you know it is Him calling?  Well, if you no longer pray and talk with Him, no longer spend time with other believers to be empowered, no longer serve those in need and no longer have time for your own loved ones, I guarantee you He has been calling for a long time and you just aren’t hearing Him.  God is a jealous God (Ex 34:14), He wants your attention and He wants your attention to be channeled to your loved ones and people in need around you.  However, if you are caught up in so many other things you might not hear Him.  Do make time to hear Him, to hear His plans for you and how He wants to use you.

I also want to touch on the topic of you hearing God very clearly about your life and about what you should be doing for others in the community.  Often we hear clearly but we don’t listen, hence we don’t take action.  You might already know what to do for Christ but never get to doing it.  Perhaps to visit hospices or be a prayer mom for an hour in a week, bringing our kids in school to God in prayer.  You see, sometimes we use excuses like I’m too busy or I’m not sure what I should be doing.  I’m sorry to be so blunt, but we are like that, we do make excuses.  We want to be active for Christ yet we don’t take action.  Then I ask you to make time, for God says in Mat 6:33 that we should first seek Him and His Kingdom and the rest will be added to us as well.  If not sure what to do, fast and pray as I tell you that God will reveal to you what you should do.  Very important also is that sometimes you have to step out and try new things.  Visit people that are hospitalized, go and stand in front of the supermarket and pray for all the staff working there.  Wherever, whatever, but start somewhere and try things out until you know where you need to be.  Get to the level of relationship with God that you simply act no matter where you are or what you are busy with.  He will use you anywhere for anything but get close to Him so that you hear Him with your heart.

Dear reader, I said a lot, but I trust you will seek God with all of your being.  I trust you will listen and hear those calling out, just like adverts, for you to go and reach out to them.  Make time, put in an effort and in all this start with hearing God’s voice over your own life.  Don’t delay…..God is calling.

Lots of love

Princess K

PS:  Dear reader, please remember that the scripture used are from the New International Version.  If the scripture is read in another language and translation it might differ slightly.  A verse in the NIV might be a different one in your Bible, i.e. Ps 37:3 in the NIV might be Ps 37:4 in your bible.  This does not always occur, but happens in some instances.
